Chapter 17

• More than an hour has passed and I'm still alone wandering around this small prison cell. The men have left me alone with tremendous amount of fear and suspense in my heart. What will they do to Kai?
• I wish I can lie about knowing what the secret code is all about so they can leave Kai alone. I thought it's going to be more dangerous if I lie about such a sensitive thing which is why I didn't. However, I told them so many times that I don't have what they want and I don't know where it's being kept, yet none of them want to believe me. What exactly has Kai gotten himself into?
• As I pace to and fro from one wall to another, I try to stabilize my mind to recall if there's a certain time that Kai has been acting suspicious or hiding something from me. My mind tells me whatever he's hiding must be dangerous and too important to the point that he'll rather risk his life to protect it. If he hasn't told them anything until now, then this either proves my assumption to be correct, or perhaps they're mistaken him — Kai for someone else. He might not even be in possession of what they're after.
