Chapter 21

• I don't know how it happened but I end up screaming out due to a horrible pain. A scorpion has just stung my left foot and the sensation is painfully overwhelming. I jump from one leg to another, my eyes roaming around to see if I can find the darn creature and kill it.
• Out of nowhere, I feel a strong hand gripping me tight and muffling my yelp. The pain in my legs worsen as I struggle with the arms around me. "Shh! I'm just a helper." The voice says in my ear, and somehow, I feel like I can trust him. "They're coming for you. Follow me."
• I'm beginning to loose my sense of awareness, but my legs keep following the hooded man as he weaves through buildings and dark alleys until he reach a small house and pull me inside along with him.
