• The next day, Janet’s heart raced as she glanced at Kyle’s flushed face, his skin burning under her touch.
• “Oh no,” she whispered, her voice filled with anxiety. She quickly got out of bed and hurried to the medicine cabinet, only to discover that the bottle of his medicine was empty. She called the pharmacy, but they didn’t have his prescribed medicine.
• Janet hastily changed into a pair of jeans and a casual t-shirt and attempted to contact Mrs Johns, but her calls went unanswered. She bolted her apartment and knocked on Mrs. Johns’s door directly across from her own, but it seemed she wasn’t at home.
