• Janet stormed out of the conference room after rejecting the idea of manipulating Sebastian’s mother to gain control over him, resulting in her being expelled from the meeting. The chief followed her out, his face flushed with anger.
• “Why the hell did you interrupt me while I was speaking? Officer Janet, where have your manners gone these days?”
• Creases formed on Janet’s eyebrows. “Chief,” she exclaimed, her voice filled with frustration, “this is not the right way to get hold of Sebastian! Law enforcement never manufactures evidence to convict civilians wrongly.”
