• I tried to run after Ellis, I did not really mean to offend her as I was just trying to joke around to lighten up my feelings. I guessed I was really being insensitive toward her lately, when in fact, she was just showing her utmost concern about me. She had already gotten inside a cab when I stepped out of the door. I tried to call her, but I knew she was mad already.
• I froze there standing as I watched the cab start to drift away from me. I was feeling bad that I made her feel that way.
