• After our tender moments on the dance floor, the emcee asked everyone to settle down. I joined Larkin at his table, along with his board members. Everyone was looking at me, and it became obvious then that their speculations about me and Larkin were true.
• Since everyone who was left there were all employees and part of the company, they started with the second part of the program. It was when they would be announcing the employees who had done an exemplary job in the last year.
