Chapter 59
- ALICIA POV
- The late-night encounter with Colby Dew felt like something out of a dream. I kept playing the moment over and over in my head until I finally fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I remembered was the email sitting in my inbox. A part of me knew I should delete it for my own peace of mind, but I never did. I collected them, each one a piece of evidence, in case I ever needed them.
- Before the fear could take over, I forced myself out of bed. I took a few deep breaths and focused on the golden sunlight cutting through the gaps in the curtains. I went through my usual morning routine: ten minutes of yoga, brushing my teeth, a large glass of water, and then a long shower. Half an hour later, I felt much better.
