- I realized my error the moment I had spoken. I had called it home without thinking, because to me, it was home. But it hadn't even registered how Gianna might view that. This wasn’t her home, this was mine. I quickly tried to correct myself. And I could only hope Gianna didn’t notice, or if she did that she didn’t freak out. I think Killian had done enough of that for today, and I didn't want her to think being here came with too many expectations.
- I guided her toward the doors of the packhouse. Acutely aware of her eyes darting over the building in front of us. I imagine she was curious about where she was staying. And there was so much for her to see here, and letting her see the sights within the pack might help in convincing her to stay.
- “I can give you a proper tour tomorrow if you like?” I suggested, only to be greeted by a smile so warm and beautiful that it could melt icebergs.
