Chapter 57 Mason

  • Having spent most of my night trying desperately to come up with ways to help Gianna, I had very little sleep. As did my friends. I felt like death. But, in reality, despite that sacrifice, we were no closer to an answer. In order for us to be able to help Gianna, we needed her to accept our help first, and from what all of us had seen she seemed reluctant to do so. We had all agreed that Gianna seemed to be fighting any source of help from us and our pack... from any pack... she appeared to want to go this alone.
  • I truly do not think she was willing to come back to a werewolf community, and I think that was all down to the history between her ex and her. Whatever that man had done to Gianna had scarred her. And whether she would share it with us or not, we had to assume that the things he did were bad, and that he likely hadn't done with her yet. This was why it was so vital we dealt with him, whether Gianna wanted us to or not.
  • Jaxon had sent out some of our warriors to look for this ex of hers, but I knew we had no real reason to bring the guy or his contacts in to our pack. Not if the werewolf council were to question us. And I liked to make sure things were done above board, unlike her ex…
