Chapter 35 Shift?
- “Free me this instant!” she roared, her voice shaking the earth. I could feel the weight of her energy pressing me down, suffocating. My body trembled as I fought hard to resist her, but it was no use. She was too strong, and I didn’t know how to control her. I was powerless. My breath came in ragged gasps, and my heart pounded in my chest as panic set in.
- Saliva bubbled in my mouth, dripping down my chin as I let out a guttural growl. It was animalistic—an instinct I didn’t recognize, a need to hunt, to find prey. The overwhelming sensation was like a storm crashing over me, wave after wave need. My fingers ached as sharp claws pushed through, my nails growing longer and deadlier. My body screamed in pain as muscles I didn’t know I had contorted and shifted.
- “What is this feeling?” I gasped, barely able to form the words. “Is this my first shift? And is this how much it hurts?”
