• Zephyr's POV:
• Throughout the day, I was locked up in the room, exhausted from the whole chaos. My energy keeps getting drained, and so is my hope of finding Janie. The night was very quiet, the silence only interrupted by the occasional rustle of leaves outside. My heightened senses picked up every sound, every whisper that floated in the air.
• Something felt odd. A muffled sob reached into my ear. My muscles tensed as I honed in on the sound, recognizing Emily’s voice. That cunning bastard, how dare she? The guts she has to be here, after what her father did and tried to throw Amber under the bus.
