• As the leader of the Shadow Moon Pack, I was accustomed to the darkness—both in my surroundings and in my heart, that's what people think about me or perhaps that was what I was. My mind racing with thoughts of vengeance. Bustan had made a fool of me years ago, and the time for reckoning was fast approaching.
• “Listen up, everyone,” I began, my voice low but firm, cutting through the murmurs that filled the air. My soldiers, loyal and fierce, straightened up, their eyes fixed on me. “We all know why we’re here.
