• Olivia's POV
• Bianca and I stood side by side, both of us scowling at the task laid out before us. The punishment Bustan had assigned for our fight in the palace was one we both knew we deserved, but that didn’t make it any less infuriating. Especially since the last person I wanted to be stuck with was Bianca. How could Bustan punish me? He didn't even look at my face once just threw a harsh punishment on both of us.
• We were standing outside the palace stables, in front of piles of hay that stretched almost as far as the eye could see. Our task was simple: clean out the stables from top to bottom, a grueling and messy job normally reserved for the palace staff. But Bustan, in his infinite wisdom, had decided that this would be our penance for disturbing the peace with our brawl.
