• I had to clench my jaw and grit my teeth viciously throughout the entire meal, fighting with every ounce of self-control not to allow the maelstrom of emotions raging through me to erupt outwardly. My wolf paced agitatedly beneath my skin, snarling and snapping at its confines as I suffered the torment of sitting across from my obsession - my destiny - while she remained utterly oblivious to the claim her very existence staked on my soul.
