Raven's POV:
I woke up earlier than usual the next morning, my mind still replaying last night's dinner with Azrael over and over. The way his intense gaze had bored into me, those smoldering eyes that seemed to strip away all my layers with just a look. The authoritative timber of his voice as he'd insisted I was his mate, destined to be united whether I liked it or not.
A shiver raced down my spine, and I quickly pushed those unsettling thoughts away. I couldn't allow myself to get distracted by the arrogant alpha, no matter how unnervingly attractive he was. My human life, my business demanded all of my focus right now.
