As Raven and I settled into the cozy, intimate booth, I couldn't help but drink in the sight of her. She seemed so small, so delicate, yet I knew the strength that lay coiled beneath her fragile exterior. My wolf, Nightshade, practically purred with satisfaction at having our mate so close, her alluring scent enveloping us.
Reaching across the table, I gently took her hand in mine, marveling at the way her fingers fit so perfectly between my own. "Tell me, my love," I murmured, my thumb tracing feather-light patterns along her knuckles, "what would you like to eat? I want to make sure you're properly taken care of."
