Chapter 130

• I woke up earlier than usual. Reyhan was still fast asleep beside me with one of his hands on my stomach, which looked a little bulging. I gently pushed his hand away and got out of bed. It’s still five in the morning, and I feel hungry. The morning sickness I’m experiencing is starting to lessen; it’s true what Doctor Grace said: this troublesome thing will end soon as I get older. There’s no one in the kitchen now; Mrs. Liam won’t be here until half past seven in the morning. I decided to make breakfast. There were croissants ready to bake and granola. While waiting for the croissants to bake, I ate the granola and opened the fridge to get some orange juice.
• Reyhan arrived just as I was serving the croissants perfectly. Reyhan sat in a high chair at the granite dress table.
• “You woke up this early to have breakfast first?” asked Reyhan, who looked at me and the croissant.
