Chapter 14 Lyra

• I parked my van In front of my apartment building just when it was about to run out of gas, my phone was ringing so loudly that I had half the mind to toss it through the windscreen but I knew that would be like shooting myself in the leg.
• I already knew who was calling so as to not allow his irritating voice to spoil my mood anymore than it already was I just cut the call without looking at the phone, after that I dragged myself towards the stairs and fumbled with my keys before finally getting it in and unlocking the door to my apartment.
• I let out a deep sigh as I stare back at the apartment that I'll probably be thrown out of in a few incoming weeks. If I don’t get another job soon, it would really be the end of me.
