Chapter 18 Not Knowing What To Do

• Hours pass and I don't move from my spot, so the snow falling from the sky covers almost my entire body. Since I am white, I blend in perfectly with it, so I seriously consider staying here to sleep.
• The good thing about winter is that most predators are hibernating, so I have the forest all to myself. Here I don't have to hide my pregnancy, nor do I have to worry about someone seeing me cry or noticing my expressions of concern for everything I am going through.
• But the pain from my mother's blow doesn't go away, nor does the worry about what might be happening at the Evaniff mansion. Because if my mother has already revealed my secret, it's most likely that my father is out looking for me everywhere, while my brothers are barely informed or perhaps, they are already with their respective partners searching for me everywhere.
