Chapter 5

  • Lilah's POV
  • “We are done, let's go!”
  • The first triplet ordered me, grabbing my arm.” His eyes were firm, his face stony. I looked at his brothers beside him and they all kept the same face. Then I looked at Axel, he held a smirk with his new Luna, Carlen.
  • “What's going on?” I mumbled, turning around in confusion.
  • “You're coming with us!” Calvin, the second triplet growled.
  • “Did you come for Axel or for me. Am I the one owing you the thirty million dollars?” At this point, my heart began to thump, my legs shook and I was sweating on my palms.
  • They pulled me on either side and began to drag me away.
  • “We came for you.” Bennett whispered into her ear.
  • “Have you forgotten what you did to us in the past?” Calvin teased.
  • “What did I do? I can't remember.”
  • “You will get to know about it soon.” Miles, the last of the triplets, volunteered. I turned to watch upon coming outside, the Alpha and his new Luna, my sister stood by the door glaring at us with witty eyes. They were clearly mocking me.
  • This whole situation became like a dream to me, I couldn't tell what I did wrong but they were taking me back to their pack. I didn't know whether I was going to be punished or not.
  • Inside of the car, I was making tantrums. Calvin and Miles sat by my sides while Bennett drove the BMW. They were quite wealthy, one of the wealthiest Alphas in the world and they were connected with the mafia world but no one dared to complain.
  • They rule their pack with an iron fist, from stories reaching the other part of the world.
  • “Can you tell me why you're doing this to me, you just came to pick me up without saying anything.”
  • “I thought you came to get your money?”
  • “It was all an act. The Alpha didn't borrow any money from us.”
  • Calvin from my right side said this and I shrugged in horror.
  • “What then did you come for?”
  • The two Alphas by my side kept their faces straight, didn't say a word even when I slapped their hips. It was more of frustration than self-will, I was deeply afraid inside of me.
  • Bennett, who was driving, turned to look at me, he smirked and turned away.
  • “When we reach the palace, and get to a particular room, you will remember what you did. It's time to pay the price for what you did.”
  • “Which palace?” I was getting all the more confused.
  • These Alphas rule the Supreme Union Pack. What connection do they have with the palace? So far the only palace we have in this country is the one still at Supreme Union Pack but the lycan king and his family lived there, they are now late, dead from a mysterious death as everyone believes and ever since then, the position has been left vacant.
  • But a new king would be crowned soon.
  • “I don't know what connection you guys have with the palace,” I said with disdain.
  • “No need to talk, when we get there everything will be clear to you.”
  • They said no other thing after this. I was in the car, feeling so awkward, I soon fell asleep.
  • When I woke up, three hours had passed. I shrugged, looking at them both with horror. They pretended not to notice. Then Bennett turned around, driving into a luxury driveway, surrounded with lovely green trees beside.
  • Merely entering the palace, my mind flashed back and I began to think of my past, many years ago. I swallowed a deep gulp of saliva.
  • The car stopped and as we came out of the car, Calvin and Miles grabbed my hands.
  • I turned to them, furrowing my brows.
  • “Why are you treating me like a prisoner?”
  • “My sister did that, so why arrest me?”
  • “Shut the fuck up!” Miles shouted, making me jerk. Their faces look damn serious.
  • “We investigated and found out who's the true cause of the king's death.” Bennett snapped.
  • “And it's you!”
  • “If you can deceive everyone, you can't deceive us.”
  • Slowly my past was beginning to unveil before my very front leaving my chest heaving heavily. I lifted my face to them, eyes pale and lips quivering.
  • “So what are you going to do to me now?”
  • “Kill me?”
  • The gang leader, Bennett smiled. “No, we aren't killing you but we are bringing you here to satisfy us.”
  • “In what way please?”
  • “Bring her in!” He gave the order to his brothers and they took me inside the palace. My eyes sunk in the modern luxury decor, the air smelled fresh like some people were here but after the king's mysterious death, rumors had it that each and every member of his family vacated the residence, including the staff.
  • “But why is it looking so lively in here?” I mumbled, unaware that they heard me.
  • “Because people live in here and hence, it will be your new job to serve us all as a–”
  • Then his phone rang. The phone was on speaker.
  • “Hun, are you back with your brothers?” A seductive feminine voice dragged from the background from which I listened attentively and it was like music was being played up, at the rooftop.
  • “Yes, we just arrived now.” Bennett replied.
  • “Aww-wwnn.” The lady dragged again, by her voice she seemed so clingy.
  • “Is that his girlfriend?” I asked in my mind, some pangs of jealousy settling into me. These guys were so handsome, even though I was a captive prisoner, I really wanted them, even while I was trying to figure out what they wanted from me.
  • “But I'll not be coming for the party now until later. I have something important to do now.”
  • “What's that, boo?” Her voice now sounds distressed.
  • “They are back!” She seemed to announce it to some other girls probably when Bennett cut the call, looking up at me with a brief face.
  • “Come along!”
  • “Your husband sold you to us, now we have total authority over you.”
  • “You can't rebel.” Bennett continued to say but I gasped so wide, not believing this.
  • Why would Axel do this?
  • Isn't it enough that he mistreated me?
  • “He will pay dearly for this,” I vowed, clenching my fist. I didn't know how I was going to make him pay but one thing I was sure of is that he's going to pay with my sister, Carlen.
  • The triplets took me into the king's living room, I remembered in a flashback.
  • “Can you remember what you did? Do you still have what to say?” Bennett asked, leaving me stunned, frightened and speechless.
  • I want to disappear into the ground.
