• Calvin's POV
• While the party was going on inside, I felt a strange scent that I had never felt before. I remembered that I had felt this strange scent when I first discovered Lilah as my mate, but it wasn't as sensational as this. This scent had a difference in such a way that each second of sensing it dragged my wolf along. I wasn't purposely intending to check it out; it was just that I was being pulled towards it.
• I walked out of the hall using the secret entrance, which was by the side in the inner room. I did this to avoid attention, as most people would think I was going in to meet with the organizers of the event. Once outside, the cold breeze of the night soothed me, though the rest of the environs were lighted. This part, since it had to do with a secret passage, wasn't being lighted. I liked it this way.
