• Bennett's POV
• As the door closed behind Alpha Calvin and Alpha Miles, I was left alone with Lilah in the small, secret room. The two other alphas had gone to make some preparations, to gather food and clothes to bring back to Lilah, and I was left to keep her company.
• I turned to look at Lilah, who was sitting on the bed, her eyes fixed on the floor. She looked so lost, so alone, and my heart went out to her. I knew that she was strong, that she had been through so much already, but I also knew that she was scared. Scared of what might happen to her, scared of being found out, scared of being hurt again.
