• “Thank you. You're a lifesaver,” I said, sliding into the passenger seat of Audrey’s car. I didn’t have many options of getting home especially after turning down William’s offer to drive me home, for obvious reasons.
• Audrey had texted she was nearby. Which was lucky and almost too coincidental. It was just a few minutes after ten and Audrey looked like she was on her way back from an important meeting. Audrey normally did not get out of bed until it ten.
