• Nathan looked ahead as he drove. His ego had been bruised a little the previous night. When he asked Gina if she was happy to meet her mate and she couldn't answer. He didn't know what to feel.
• He wasn't dumb. He knew there had to be a reason for that and somehow the only explanation his mind could come up with was that there was someone else. Could it be her boss? But he was like a brother to her, they grew up together, right?
