Chapter 10
- Three hours later, we crossed into Stormhowl Pack territory. No one stood in our way. The survivors were either too gravely injured or paralyzed with fear to come out of hiding. Another massacre. Over the past three years, I'd seen villages and even towns reduced to ashes, but something about this felt different. It was as if death itself had descended upon the land, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.
- Many in this pack were scum—bastards like Enzo—but there were innocents here too. Now, both the guilty and the innocent had met the same fate.
- "Are you alright?" Roberto's voice broke through my thoughts as I exhaled a slow, shaky breath.
