Chapter 35 Letha Is Dead
- Selene's POV
- My footsteps sounded too loudly in the corridor as I turned away from the maid quarters, unconsciously having my heart pounding harder with each step. I had searched every corner, asked questions I had to but no one dared to answer, and the silence of those maids—the way their eyes darted, the way their lips clamped shut—told me everything I didn’t want to believe.
- Letha was nowhere to be found around here. But then, how and why would she suddenly go missing just like that? Or there was something I was not just getting straight. I didn't want to react because it might be called madness with the nature of tricks my mind was already playing.
