• Rook’s weight presses into me, pinning me down, his grip tight and unwavering. He’s waiting for me to fight back, waiting for me to push him off like I always do. Maybe that’s why I don’t. Maybe that’s why I just lay there, breathing hard, staring up at him with a smirk that I don’t quite feel.
