- It’s happened enough times that my body doesn’t immediately tense, doesn’t instantly react like it used to. His arm is slung over my waist, his breath warm against the back of my neck, his leg heavy over mine like he’s trying to make sure I don’t go anywhere. Normally, I’d roll my eyes, shift just to mess with him, shove him off when he starts clinging too much.
