• As I watched Carlos rushing into my room, I froze. He had been with his grandma at the diner before now and then he has never come close to me. Shock filled my heart as I had no idea what line of action I should take next. The uncertainty of everything was weighing me down.
• I laid on my bed waiting for him to come closer, struggling with joy and wonder. All of a sudden, Olympia appeared at the door with a slight grin.
