Chapter 150 Suspense

• Still smiling, I glanced at the side, only to see Brooke sitting on a sleek white couch, with her hands holding a laptop while some of the other bridesmaids touched up on their make up with the makeup artists beside her, while chattering excitedly. But she was not part of the conversation… or staring at whatever she was doing on her laptop.
• Instead, she had been staring at me.
• In a split second, after our eyes met, she looked back down at the laptop. I was still wondering why she had abruptly looked away like I had caught her doing something bad, when she looked back up at me, and gave me a small smile. I smiled back slowly, before looking back at the mirror, and wondering why this little exchange made me slightly uneasy all of a sudden.
