Chapter 33 Jealousy

• I slowly sat up in the soft bed and looked over to Neil’s side of the bed. He was not there. After I left the home theatre last night, I had come back into the room to see Neil awake. I nearly had a heart failure because if he had stepped out of the room to come looking for me, Christ, he might have walked in on Adonis and me fucking in that shadowy room.
• He had been sitting on the couch, staring thoughtfully into space when I walked into the room. Without a word, I desperately tried to hide the thong in my fist as I disappeared into the bathroom. By the time I came back out, ready to go to bed, he was on his feet like he was about to say something but I promptly ignored him and slid into bed, facing the other direction.
