• “These will do,” I muttered and grabbed two bottles of exotic wine from the bar, looking over them satisfactorily. Sara had whipped up some really delicious and extravagant dinner downstairs and I wanted the best wine to go with it. To put Neil in the best mood possible, since he seemed kind of quiet ever since he got back from work, he was possibly upset over something but he kept brushing it off as annoying work shit. I would talk to him about my huge contract offer tonight, and fingers crossed, I hope things don’t go sideways.
• Neil has always, always been very supportive, but this was one thing that he was not comfortable with, and I was going to do it anyway, so I have to make him look on the bright side so everyone can be happy.
