Chapter 123 Surprise, surprise, slut

• My stomach was twisting in raw shock and fear as I stumbled back a little, face draining. Oh God, Sara. She was unconscious, and sprawled over the space of Chase’s dog room. Her head was bent at an odd angle, with her hair messy and sticking out of her bun. An ugly and bruised swelling stuck out on her forehead, stained with dried blood.
• My heart was pounding in a rhythm of dread. Her entire body was crudely tied together with some random ropes that I recognized from the garage. The ropes were so tight around Sara's arms and legs that it dug right into her flesh, turning the spots into an ugly, swollen shade of red. I was panicking. ‘How…what…why...? Someone was in the house. Someone had attacked Sara and tied her up in here.’ My heels clattered as I stumbled back away from the horrible scene. ‘I have to get out of here-‘
