- Jasmine was in her room reading a novel Nicolai got for her when a knock on her door interrupted her.
- "Jasmine." She heard Nicolai's voice and instantly permitted him to come in.
- When Nicolai walked in, she dropped her novel and made to stand up from her bed, but he stopped her.
