• The sun was barely up but I was already awake, smiling like an idiot into my sleeping bag. My legs were sore from stumbling on that vine in the rain yesterday and my neck was strangely aching too.
• Every inch of me screamed for more rest, but I couldn’t stop grinning. I shouldn’t be grinning. I shouldn’t be thinking about his hands or the way his voice dipped into my skin, or the way my body completely, utterly gave up on logic the second he touched me. Ugh. What the hell was wrong with me?
