Chapter 9 Nine

• Dinner is going on great, asides the earlier hiccup. I never expected my mom and Tessa to hit it off just as easily as they did, but I'm happy. Right now, Tessa needs all the love she can get and I am happy my mom is the one providing it for her, something her own mom couldn't do.
• They chatted about everything and nothing. So far, Tessa has laughed more times than I have seen her done over the years. Yes, I took particular note of every little detail about her. It is what you do when you are head over heels in love with someone. But unfortunately, I couldn't have her and I made the mistake of seeking comfort in someone else's arms, someone I didn't love and it was threatening to get in the way of everything I have dreamed of.
