Chapter 22 Twenty Two
- The world around me shut out, leaving nothing but a distant white noise that somehow tripled the pounding headache I had. It was all gone. My hard work, everything I'd done to find my daughter. It went up in flames with that orphanage.
- Days had passed, and I was still in a daze. I sat on the edge of my bed, staring blankly at the phone in my hand, praying that the PI would call me and tell me that call was nothing but a cruel, wicked prank orchestrated by Denise and my step mom. Because I know that it is all their doing. Just like they killed Louisa and tried to frame me for it.
