Chapter 17 Seventeen

  • I couldn’t breathe. The hospital air felt too thick, too heavy. My chest heaved as I stared at my father’s lifeless body, the man who had been my anchor for as long as I could remember. It felt surreal, like some twisted nightmare I couldn’t wake up from.
