Chapter 82

• Suddenly he was off her as if he was never there. Anna took a deep breath and slowly turned to see Enzo holding him by his throat off to the side. A group formed around them quickly, Elena helped Anna stand and they both stepped away from the men.
• “What do you think you’re doing, Stephen?” Enzo asked the man with a voice dipped in poison. He held him as if he weighed nothing off the ground. Stephen gripped his arm and struggled for breath. Those around them watched nervously.
• Elena put her arm around Anna to comfort her, Anna watched the scene almost as if she was detached from the moment. She didn’t feel as if she was even in her body anymore, almost as if she was watching it from beside herself.
