• “I was, but your thoughts were so loud they woke me up.” Cordelia grumbled. Anna wanted to roll her eyes but she knew that Lucas was watching her. “What did I miss?”
• “I’ll catch you up later. We’re about to return to the palace for the first time since this war started.” Anna eyed Lucas who gazed out the window as if he was lost in thought. Perhaps his wolf was trying to convince him everything would be fine.
• “I’m glad to know you see this place as your home. We need a place to be safe at. We need a home, your baby needs a home.” Cordelia whispered. The carriage came to a stop in front of the palace steps.
