Chapter 157

• The middle of her chest started to burn like never before. Anna clenched the area with her hands but of course it did nothing to relieve the pain. Lucas moved closer and gripped her chin to force her to look at him.
• “Where does it hurt the most?” He asked in a strained tone. Anna wordlessly pointed to her chest. He reached his hand up her shirt and brushed his fingers over the area it burned. It ignited a loud groan from her. “It’s going to pass, it’s almost finished.”
• Anna looked up at him with wide eyes. What was almost finished? What was even happening to her—or any of them?
