Chapter 76

• “You can call me Eliza.” She said with another smile that didn’t reach her eyes. Eliza seated herself on the edge of the bed as Anna started to pick at her food. “Those men you met… they do not speak for any of us. Our pack doesn’t torture innocent women for answers. I’m sorry for what you went through.”
• Anna paused half way through her sandwich and blinked. The voice in the back of her mind warned her to remain cautious. They could only be trying to fool her into trusting them. Perhaps they would think she might tell them everything she knew about the palace if they were nice enough to her.
• Anna decided to play along into it for the time being, at least until she could get away from here and be safe again. “Thank you.” Anna lowered her gaze. The woman patted her knee gently.
