• I laid on bed looking at the ceiling and thinking . Diego’s words kept repeating itself in my head, his desperation, the way he spoke about the empire so deeply personal. Was it this empire, the one tied to his father and their operations? Or was there another one I didn’t know about?
• Sleep was not possible at this moment. My mind would not close, wouldn’t let me rest until I got answers. I need to know what is going on. And there is only one person I could think of to tell me the truth.
