Chapter 50 Back In The Manor

• Eva's p.o.v
• I have been experiencing nothing but trouble over the past three days. I felt like a new person when I got back from the sea with everyone. I was more shaken by the kiss with Diego and the almost drowning than I wanted to acknowledge. I still feel like something has fundamentally altered even when I return to work at the mansion.
• The daring, the jump, and the terrible moments when I realized I couldn't swim back to the boat are all events that I find myself thinking about all the time. I can still feel Diego's powerful arms yanking me out of the water and hear his frantic words. I can never truly thank him, even though I owe him my life.
