• The next day they met again and this time William approached her with a flower. Her eyes bewildered in excitement as she stared the boy she had been seeing in her dreams for two straight years. The memories of the past, her longing to know the angel who had saved her life, everything occurred to her mind. There were a lot of things that she wanted to tell him like how she felt indebted towards him for saving her life and felt thankful for his motivational words. There were many questions that she wanted to ask like how he was these years and if he recovered from the poison and why he suddenly disappeared from the hospital. But, she was taken aback with his bold words that were directed towards Peter. She knew the nature of Young Master Knight who had injured many boys earlier while thinking they had eyes on Claire. He couldn't tolerate if Claire just swapped her gaze over a boy or smile over their jokes. She didn’t want William to become the victim of Peter's jealousy. So, she had to do what she did then.
• Thereafter there were many occasions when she thought of asking him about the dark night when they had met for the first time. However, she realized he didn’t remember her. For her it was the darkest night of her life. She couldn’t forget that night no matter how much she tries. But, for him, it was just another night of his life. There was nothing special for him in that night to remember. Also because the night was so dark and Claire's face was covered with blood that he might not have seen her face clearly and that’s why he couldn’t recognize her when he met her in Knight Mansion. Gradually, Claire gave up the idea of telling him about their entanglement and alienated herself from him. She would watch him from afar and took care of him in silence. She didn’t know what kind of obsession she had for him. It was only when Mia texted her from her university that William had proposed to her and wanted her to be his girlfriend that she realized what kind of obsession she had for him. She loved him. Ever since he saved her from that hanging car, her heart belonged to him.
• She believed that the meaning of love is sacrifice. So, she sacrificed everything she could for her love. Erick asked her many times why she was willing to forgive him. Why she was willing to love him. She couldn’t express her answer. She only remembered the night when she had given up on her life and wanted to die along with her parents. It was William who pulled her up and filled her heart with encouragement. Without William there wouldn't be Claire Evans. So, in this life no matter how he treats her, she is willing to be with him.
