Chapter 55

Little Claire opened her eyes and found herself protected in her mother’s lap who had embraced her within herself as if she was a part of her interior.
“ Mom… ” She called in a scared voice. However, she didn’t hear her mother's voice in return. In her response, two drops of blood dropped off her forehead and blurred Claire's eyes. Afraid Claire immediately turned towards her father, calling in a hoarse voice, “ Dad! Mom is not replying. She is hurt. Dad… ”
However, she didn't hear any voice coming out of her father's lips either. She called for her Dad and Mom time and again but all her desperate calls went in vain. Her parents were long gone and there was no one to hear her voice. She was frightened and crying. She had lost her everything and she couldn’t care that she wasn't in a good situation either. Even though her mother had protected her well, a sharp branch of the tree had pierced right through her stomach and she was bleeding. The pain must be terrible for a little girl to endure but her grievance was much deeper than the wound. All that she wanted was bleeding to death. Maybe this way she could reunite with her family. However, God has other plans for her. She had to live longer to fulfil her Dad's wish and punish her family's murderer.
