Chapter 53
- She opened the locker and took her passport and other documents that was keeping her locked in the foreign land. Before closing the locker her eyes fell on a letter. She couldn’t move her eyes away as the handwriting on the letter was very familiar to her eyes. She grabbed the letter and read the name written on its envelope.
- “ To Cliare ” she read while moving her hands gently on it and then teared the envelope immediately. The handwriting belonged to William and she couldn’t help reading the words written inside.
- ‘ Dear Claire, I know I don’t deserve to see you, let alone apologizing to you. That’s why I'm writing this letter instead of meeting you in person. A day ago, I met Mia. She told me everything. I'm devastated. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how to make things right. Only if time could go back, I might have taken different steps. But, it’s just my foolish thinking. I have thought a lot and finally agreed that no matter what I do and how much I try to repent, my sins are beyond redemption. I can never repay you. The only thing I can do for you is to let you go. I know you hate me now. I also understand how disgusted you are feeling to be a wife of a person like me. I have also investigated Erick and found him reliable. He likes you. I think he can take good care of you. He would be a better husband than me. I don’t deserve you but you deserve the best man. Thus, I'm sending this divorce paper and the papers of Evans group. Your father's company has always belonged to you. Even when I hated you, I never intended to keep it for myself. I have only done few improvements in them. Now You can take what's yours.
