Chapter 31

• After William was gone, She hardly managed to stand up, her legs still trembling and her whole body sweating as hell. She then grabbed her dress with her shivering hands as she was planning to put them on before she heard the knock on the door. It was Erick who had returned with a new dress.
• “ Claire! Are you still inside? ” Erick called from outside. She opened her mouth to answer his call but only to shut it close, afraid that he might sense the hoarseness in her voice. She breathed heavily before she finally calmed herself down as she replied in a broken voice, “ D… Don't come in. Hang the dress on the door knob. I'll pick it later. ”
