Chapter 46

  • Luciana gently applied a cool compress to Aria's swollen ankle, her eyes filled with sympathy and concern. She knew the brutal nature of Dante and the hell Aria was going through. Just as she finished wrapping the bandage around Aria's ankle, heavy footsteps echoed down the hallway.
  • Aria's breath hitched, and her body tensed as the footsteps grew louder. She knew that sound all too well—the sound of Dante's boots echoing through the mansion, a harbinger of more pain and humiliation.
  • Luciana looked up, her eyes widening with fear as the door creaked open. "Leave," Dante commanded, his voice cold and authoritative as he stepped into the room. Luciana quickly gathered her things, shooting Aria an apologetic glance before hurrying out of the room. The door clicked shut behind her, leaving Aria alone with Dante once again.
