Chapter 30
- Daniel finished bandaging Zander’s wound; he glanced at the first aid box again, his heart sinking. The supplies were running low, and he knew it wouldn’t be enough to properly care for his friend. “Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, frustration boiling within him.
- “Daniel?” Zander asked weakly, sensing his friend’s unease.
- “We need more medicine,” Daniel replied, his voice steady but laced with urgency. “I’ll have to go to the nearby town and get some supplies. We can’t risk infection, especially with a wound like this.”
